Mark J. Goldsmith joined the Los Angeles office of Klinedinst as an associate in 2006. He was elevated to the position of Counsel in 2012, with a practice that focuses primarily upon defense of real estate professionals, professional liability defense, and general business litigation. Mr. Goldsmith represents a wide range of clients, including individuals, small businesses, non-profit organizations, and large corporations. His experience encompasses all facets of litigation, including law and motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. Mr. Goldsmith litigates in federal and state courts, and he is experienced at both the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Goldsmith was recognized in both the 2009 and 2010 as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers®. Mr. Goldsmith has also participated in multiple speaking engagements to various real estate professional groups regarding transaction disclosures and E&O coverage issues.
Mr. Goldsmith received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles before attaining his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, in Lexington, Virginia. While attending Washington and Lee, he was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse legal clinic, where he assisted in representing capital murder defendants and was published in multiple editions of the Capital Defense Journal.
Mr. Goldsmith began his legal career as a judicial extern for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and worked as a summer law clerk with Klinedinst in 2005.
