Philip W. Vineyard II is a senior associate in the downtown Los Angeles office of Klinedinst PC. An experienced litigator, Mr. Vineyard has handled cases in both federal and state courts, from initial pleading to appeal, if necessary. His practice is currently focused on legal malpractice, employment and labor law, and employment class actions, but his substantial experience includes the professional liability of accountants, financial and investment advisors, insurance brokers and agents, and architects and engineers. Mr. Vineyard also provides counsel in complex insurance coverage and construction defect cases and provides past business and current legal insights on litigation matters for restaurants, hotels, and their franchisees.
Mr. Vineyard received his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration from Florida State University, after which he became a corporate trainer for a nationally known themed-restaurant company. He later constructed, owned, and operated his own restaurant, before choosing his new life in law. Mr. Vineyard received his J.D. in 2004 from Tulane University Law School and was named Editor in Chief of the Tulane Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. He was also a member of Tulane’s Entertainment & Arts Law Society.
Mr. Vineyard was nominated by his peers in 2009 and 2010 as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers®. Only the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state ever make it into Rising Stars, designed to highlight attorneys under 40 who are already making a name for themselves in the legal profession. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Vineyard has run workshops for insurance brokers and agents to assist them in reducing their liability exposure in the provision of their services.
