SAN DIEGO – Klinedinst Attorneys Nadia Bermudez and Greg Garbacz hosted a webinar series discussing 2016 employment law updates. As part of Klinedinst’s ongoing Employment Law Webinar Series, Ms. Bermudez and Mr. Garbacz  provided attendees with an annual update to HR professionals regarding wage and hour issues, including overtime exemptions and minimum wage considerations. The presentation also covered changes in the law regarding the classification of independent contractors, the California Fair Pay Act, as well as other pertinent case law updates.

Each year, California employers face a wave of new legislation that creates additional compliance obligations. This seminar was designed to keep HR professionals and business executives educated on such updates. The seminar provided practical guidance for addressing common issues that California employers face and tips to minimize the potential for workplace claims.
