Amara S. Barbará

Amara S. Barbará is an attorney in the San Diego office of Klinedinst. Ms. Barbará’s practice focuses on professional liability defense. She analyzes arguments and prepares briefings on litigation issues including appeal bonds, commercial businesses, partnership disputes, contract disputes, land-use entitlements, and fraud. Ms. Barbará has experience litigating cases from inception to trial and has served as second chair during a trial involving a major auto manufacturer. She has also worked extensively on consumer class actions and product liability cases, and has conducted legal research on contract law, CAFA requirements, California Proposition 65, and the California Civil Discovery Act.

Prior to joining Klinedinst, Ms. Barbará was an associate in a boutique trial and litigation firm in San Diego, and has served as a law clerk for numerous local firms.

Ms. Barbará graduated from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Law, where she received the CALI Award in Alternative Dispute Resolution and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society. Prior to attending law school, she earned a BA in International Studies and a Minor in Political Science from California State University at Long Beach, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society.

Within the community, Ms. Barbará is an active member of Lawyers Club of San Diego. While attending law school, she was active within the Women’s Law Caucus, USD Law Golf Law Society, and Tax Law Society (TLS). Ms. Barbará is also an alumna of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team, and served as the group’s President from 2017 to 2018.
