Lindsey N. Casillas is Co-Managing Shareholder in the Sacramento office of Klinedinst PC. Ms. Casillas’ practice centers on professional liability litigation, employment counseling and litigation and intellectual property; however, Ms. Casillas has a wide range of experience generally dealing with issues that businesses encounter. Through all the stages of your business, from making the decision to start a company, to hiring, training and addressing conflicts within your staff, from protecting your intellectual property (patents and trademarks), to understanding your responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or dealing with debt collection under the FDCPA, Ms. Casillas is prepared to help you navigate these issues and more.

Ms. Casillas is experienced in seeing civil cases through the litigation process, from intake to resolution, including motion practice, all phases of discovery, trial preparation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. Ms. Casillas has litigated extensively in both state and federal courts and has handled class action litigation in both forums as well.

Ms. Casillas is uniquely experienced in trademark registration and patent prosecution. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree with an Intellectual Property concentration from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Ms. Casillas has found in her practice that taking proactive steps to avoid litigation is the best, and most cost effective, defense against it. As a result, Ms. Casillas strives to make sure her clients are well versed in the risks inherent in their current business practices balanced with the practical considerations of doing business. Ms. Casillas is passionate about helping clients achieve their objectives, and looks forward to helping you achieve yours.

In her free time, Ms. Casillas teaches and competes in west coast swing dancing, enjoys traveling, and loves to cook for family and friends.
