Neema Shojai is an associate attorney in Klinedinst’s San Diego office, where he represents clients in business and commercial litigation, casualty and general liability, and employment litigation.
Prior to joining Klinedinst, Mr. Shojai represented healthcare providers and corporate parent companies in lawsuits involving claims of medical malpractice, negligent hiring and supervision, elder abuse and neglect, fraud and misrepresentation, and alter-ego liability. His practice involved regularly drafting and orally arguing high-stakes dispositive motions and discovery motions. He has extensive experience handling sophisticated discovery law and motion matters on behalf of a broad spectrum of clients in the healthcare industry, having successfully filed or opposed demurrers, motions to strike, summary judgment and summary adjudication motions, motions to compel, motions to quash, motions for a protective order, motions to consolidate, motions to bifurcate punitive damages, motions for sanctions, ex parte applications regarding the same, and more.
Mr. Shojai has also obtained successful rulings on behalf of corporate parent entities, protecting clients against predatory discovery tactics, including motions to compel the inspection and production of electronically stored data, trade secrets, and other proprietary information; and motions to compel the deposition of high-level corporate officers and other apex employees.
Mr. Shojai graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. He earned his Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law in 2017, where he was distinguished for high scholarship, having regularly made the Dean’s List throughout his law school career.
