Scott J. Kalter is an Associate with Klinedinst’s Orange County office.
Mr. Kalter represents clients on catastrophic injury and personal injury defense, retail defense, premises liability, employment defense, and products liability matters. He brings to his clients a solid business background, having spent several years working in sales, marketing, and recruiting with high-growth technology start-ups and Fortune 500 companies in the Bay Area. While working with one of the most respected software engineer recruiting platforms, Mr. Kalter gained a unique perspective on emerging technologies, including software languages and other cutting edge technology.
A graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law, Mr. Kalter was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his coursework in International Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. He was also part of the UC Hastings Mediation Clinic, where he mediated claims between employees and businesses for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission. Mr. Kalter also mediated claims that were brought in the Small Claims Department of the San Francisco Superior Court.
The UC Hasting Mediation Clinic was not the first experience Mr. Kalter had in resolving disputes. Before even attending law school, Mr. Kalter worked with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Consumer Protection Department as a volunteer mediator. He was responsible for mediating disputes between consumers and businesses and helping them reach resolutions.
