Shunya D. Wade is a law clerk in Klinedinst’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Wade primarily assists with professional liability matters.
Ms. Wade received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. During law school, she assisted with starting their Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) chapter and served on the NALSA board as the Programming and Outreach Chair. Ms. Wade organized UC Irvine Law’s symposium “Blood Quantum, Identity, and Sovereignty: Contemporary Legal Battles in Indigenous Communities” and served as a lead organizer.
While in law school, Ms. Wade also competed on the Jessup International Moot Court Team. She earned awards for Sixth Place Oralist and Runner-Up Team in the Pacific Regionals to advance to the Jessup International Rounds. She participated on one of eighth teams representing the United States of America.
Ms. Wade also completed a federal judicial clerkship externship in the Southern District of California with the Hon. Gonzalo P. Curiel.
Prior to law school, Ms. Wade earned her B.A. in Literatures in English with a secondary focus in Japanese and a minor in Law and Society from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She served as the Chair of the UCSD Native American Student Alliance and the Four Directions Community Coordinator.
