SAN DIEGO, CA – What should veterinary students know before signing their first employment contract?
On Friday, September 4, 2026, Klinedinst PC attorneys James D. Snyder and Matt D. Batista will join the UC Davis Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) for its Fall 2026 Lunch Talk on Employment Contract Negotiation for Veterinarians.
Snyder, Managing Shareholder of Klinedinst’s San Diego office and Chair of the Transactional Practice Group, and Batista, Counsel in the Transactional Practice Group, will discuss Klinedinst’s partnership with the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and legal resources available to CVMA members.
James and Matt will also walk students through key elements of veterinary employment agreements, including compensation structures, bonuses, termination provisions, potential red flags, and practical considerations when reviewing and negotiating an employment contract.
The presentation will conclude with an opportunity for students to ask questions as they prepare to enter the veterinary profession.
