American Bar Association
Klinedinst is honored to shine a spotlight on the organizations making a difference in our community. One of the organizations that we are proud to feature is the American Bar Association (ABA).
The ABA is one of the oldest and largest voluntary bar associations in the United States. The ABA plays a significant role in advancing both state and federal laws, reforming the justice system, and evaluating nominees who plan to serve as federal judges. The organization has over 288,000 active members, including lawyers, law students, recent law school graduates, paralegals, and law librarians. One of the primary goals of the ABA is to advocate for pro bono and public service initiatives, while promoting legal education among members and training on ethical conduct and professionalism.
Klinedinst attorneys have a long history of active engagement within the ABA. Teresa M. Beck is Co-chair of the Book Subcommittee of the Woman Advocate Committee, which provides opportunities to network with women trial lawyers and exchange ideas on a wide variety of professional and personal issues confronting women lawyers. Shareholder Bonnie L. Lutz previously served as Vice-Chair of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Animal Law Committee (ALC).
The ABA has also featured the work of the firm. In 2021, the ABA Journal wrote a feature article on the firm’s groundbreaking remote work policy, which allowed for permanent hybrid work schedules for both attorneys and staff members. To review the full article, click here.
