Shareholder Bonnie Lutz Named Chair of ABA Animal Law Committee

Bonnie Lutz, Shareholder with Klinedinst PC, was named the Chair of the Animal Law Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. Ms. Lutz has become a leading statewide authority in animal law; she will serve as chair of the Animal Law Committee through August of 2016.

SANTA ANA – Klinedinst Shareholder Bonnie Lutz was named Chair of the Animal Law Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) at the annual meeting of the American Bar Association (ABA). Ms. Lutz has been on the committee since it began in 2004, and will serve as Chair through August, 2016.

A renowned authority in animal law, Ms. Lutz has built a respected practice working with veterinarians, animal shelters, and other organizations. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Lutz spent many years as a public health microbiologist for the Orange County Health Department, and owned a medical device manufacturing company.

“Bonnie is an all-star in the animal law planet,” said Kevin Gramling, Managing Shareholder of the Santa Ana office. “This position recognizes the outstanding effort Bonnie has put in over the past 15 years building her animal law practice.  We could not be more proud of her and her accomplishments.”

In addition to representing veterinarians and animal shelters, Ms. Lutz frequently speaks at conferences and seminars held by the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA), the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), and VetPartners, as well as speaking to veterinary and law students.
