Edmond (Eddie) Fischer is an Associate in Klinedinst PC’s Seattle office, where he focuses his practice on complex litigation and business matters. He brings a unique combination of legal training and corporate financial experience, allowing him to approach client matters with a practical, business-minded perspective.
Before joining Klinedinst, Mr. Fischer served as a Legal Intern to the Chief Counsel at Hanford Mission Integration Solutions, where he worked closely with attorneys on matters involving the U.S. Department of Energy. In that role, he drafted and revised legal memoranda, briefs, and corporate statements, assisted in the resolution of government claims, and supported counsel during subcontractor and union pre-arbitration and arbitration proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Fischer served as a Student Legal Researcher for Advanced Cyber Law, a local cybersecurity law and consulting firm, where he researched international and domestic cybersecurity laws regarding ongoing technology initiatives, as well as helped research and draft briefs and memos for online publication pertaining to cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence.
Prior to law school, Mr. Fischer built a successful career in the financial services industry with PIMCO, one of the world’s leading investment management firms. As a Senior Associate within the firm’s Alternative Investments group, he collaborated with legal counsel, portfolio managers, and global teams to support regulatory compliance, fund operations, and complex investment transactions across private equity, hedge funds, real estate, distressed debt, and other alternative asset classes. He also led financial reporting initiatives, managed legal expense oversight for thousands of matters, and helped onboard legal and investment professionals to firmwide compliance and reporting processes.
Mr. Fischer earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the Washington International Law Journal and was an active member of both the Law and Business Association and If/When/How. Mr. Fischer is particularly proud of his time as part of the Technology and Public Policy Clinic, where he and his fellow clinic members helped the State of Washington’s Attorney General’s Office and the State’s AI Task Force in drafting ongoing AI legislation.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from North Park University in Chicago, where he was a four-year varsity soccer letterman, earned Academic All-CCIW honors each season, and was named the university’s 2015 Male Sportsperson of the Year in recognition of his leadership, character, and service.
Outside of the office, Mr. Fischer enjoys film, snowshoeing, and sports media, including creating and hosting his own sports podcast.
