Lauren Haverlock is an associate in Klinedinst PC’s Los Angeles office, where her practice focuses on civil litigation, including insurance defense, and construction defect matters. She represents clients through all phases of litigation, providing strategic counsel while managing complex cases from inception through resolution.
Ms. Haverlock has managed high-exposure insurance defense and construction defect claims, advising clients on liability and damages exposure by developing litigation strategy, handling discovery and motion practice, and representing them in court proceedings, with an emphasis on achieving efficient and favorable outcomes.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Haverlock gained valuable experience through a variety of legal positions spanning both the public and private sectors. As a law clerk with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, she researched and analyzed complex legal issues affecting municipal departments, drafting memoranda addressing emerging energy and telecommunications initiatives while helping shape legal strategy. She also served as a research extern at Santa Clara University School of Law, assisting a professor in drafting his book about California appellate procedure through comprehensive legal research and analysis.
Prior to her admission to the California Bar, Ms. Haverlock gained experience in family law and mediation matters as a legal intern. She also worked as a summer law clerk with a San Diego plaintiff’s firm where she conducted legal research, assisted with demand letters and demurrers, and developed a strong foundation in client service and case management. Ms. Haverlock earned her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received the CALI Award for Legal Writing and was awarded the Law Faculty Scholarship throughout law school. She was actively involved in campus leadership as Vice President of the First-Generation Student Association and participated in several student organizations, including the Business Law Chronicle, the Latinx Law Student Association, and the Women & Law Association.
Ms. Haverlock earned her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received the CALI Award for Legal Writing and was awarded the Law Faculty Scholarship during all three years of law school.
