Ted S. Wolter

Associate

Ted S. Wolter works in Klinedinst’s Sacramento office as an Associate. Mr. Wolter primarily represents clients in business and environmental litigation. His experience, however, extends beyond the practice of law, as he served as Chief of Staff to a member of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors for twelve years. As Chief of Staff, Mr. Wolter gained extensive experience in environmental, local agency, regulatory, and related legal matters.

Mr. Wolter has a wide range of legal experience, having litigated cases ranging from aviation and petroleum industry disputes to cattle leases, real estate, agribusiness, and securities. Mr. Wolter has litigated in both State and Federal Court, and has appeared before public hearing bodies to address issues relating to pending and/or potential litigation against those agencies.

Having spent a significant portion of his career running the office of an elected official, Mr. Wolter’s focus in litigation is identifying the best path to resolving his clients’ unique issues and challenges. Mr. Wolter is adept at identifying potential risks, benefits, and both intended and unintended consequences of a given issue. He is able to confidently advise his clients with the goal of empowering them to make business decisions with a complete understanding of their available options.

Mr. Wolter earned his Juris Doctorate with Great Distinction and an Environmental Law concentration from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Named to the Order of the Coif, Mr. Wolter was recognized for his academic achievement in law school.  Mr. Wolter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, making him a die-hard Bears fan. Mr. Wolter enjoys golf and has a 2 handicap. He also enjoys fly fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his wife and two young sons.
