SACRAMENTO – Klinedinst is pleased to announce that business litigator Michael W. Carruth has joined its Sacramento office as an associate. Mr. Carruth’s practice focuses on business litigation, general liability, complex litigation, construction, and professional liability.
Prior to joining Klinedinst, Mr. Carruth handled complex civil litigation cases including wildfire, environmental, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, class actions, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and product liability actions. He also has extensive experience in construction litigation, representing contractors, architects, and subcontractors in multi-party construction defect matters. He has both defended and sought relief on behalf of businesses and individuals in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Carruth earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers and the 2005 Recipient of the Charles S. Petty Law and Medicine Award. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable David Kelton of the Dallas County 44th District Court. Mr. Carruth is also a graduate of Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in history.
Mr. Carruth is licensed to practice in both California and Texas. He is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Association of Defense Counsel, and the J. Reuben Clark Society.
