Yumeng “Abby” Jiang is an associate in Klinedinst PC’s Seattle office. Licensed to practice in New York, California, and Washington State, Abby’s practice focuses on commercial and business litigation. With extensive experience across various legal disciplines, including product liability and immigration-related cases, Abby has established a reputation for her bilingual capabilities in both English and Chinese.
Abby’s litigation experience spans state, federal, and appellate courts, where she diligently represents clients in complex legal matters, including personal injury, breach of contract, fraud, EB-5 class actions, mandamus actions against United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and foreign judgment enforcement actions. Her responsibilities include drafting motions and legal documents, negotiating settlements, and providing bilingual communication with clients. Furthermore, she has actively contributed to pro bono efforts, particularly in cases challenging state discriminatory laws affecting Asian communities.
Abby earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, where she participated in various legal publications and clinics. Her commitment to legal scholarship is further exemplified by her involvement with the Washington Journal on Environmental Law and Policy.
Before her legal career in the United States, Abby gained valuable experience in China, where she worked with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and notable law firms, honing her skills in arbitration and corporate law.
In addition to her legal expertise, Abby is passionate about community engagement and advocacy, as demonstrated by her co-authorship of the report “Targeted but Not Silenced: A Report on Government Surveillance and Retaliation Against Immigration Organizers in the United States.” Fluent in Mandarin, she blends a strong legal acumen with a personal commitment to social justice.
