Austin J. Evans is Senior Counsel in the downtown San Diego office of Klinedinst PC. Mr. Evans’ practice focuses on matters relating to corporate, estate-planning, regulatory law, civil litigation, employment, and a variety of transactional cases. He represents small and mid-sized clients as Outside General Counsel, with particular focus in corporate governance, legal compliance, and dispute reszolution.
Mr. Evans integrates estate planning and business planning as part of trusted counselor model. He is trusted as an integral counselor in businesses’ operations, providing prompt advice with tangible solutions and results. He manages ancillary matters for word-of-mouth referrals in matters ranging from civil litigation to routine transactional matters.
Mr. Evans serves as the Chair of the City of San Diego Small Business Advisory Board, providing policy advice to Mayor Gloria and the City Council on matters involving San Diego’s business sector and economic development. He also serves as Secretary of the Tom Homann LGBTQ+ Law Association, having been on its Board of Directors since 2023, and is also on the Board of Directors for the Native American Lawyers Association of San Diego. He is a proud member of the San Diego County Bar Association and Lawyers Club of San Diego and was a 2016 participant in the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Public Leadership Institute.
Mr. Evans attended the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating with a J.D. in 2010. During his time at USD, Austin served on the San Diego Law Review and received the Distinguished Service Award upon graduation. Mr. Evans attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, earning a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and a certificate in Leadership.
