Brendan D. Gonzalez

Brendan D. Gonzalez is an associate in Klinedinst’s Sacramento office. He graduated from University of California, Davis School of Law in May 2022. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Gonzalez earned a certificate in Business Law.

Mr. Gonzalez originally joined Klinedinst at the beginning of his second year of law school. He has since worked as a part-time law clerk during the academic year, as well as a full-time law clerk in the summer months. During this time, Mr. Gonzalez has gained experience in a wide array of practice areas, including but not limited to business and commercial litigation, employment litigation, real estate litigation, professional liability, product liability, personal injury, and trademark law.

Mr. Gonzalez brings to Klinedinst hands-on experience, having previously served as a Research Assistant for Professor Menesh Patel, where he conducted legal research and prepared legal memorandum on exceptions to the Illinois Brick rule, and conducted spot legal research on the definitional scope of controlling shareholders under Delaware corporation law and director liability claims alleging breach of fiduciary duty. 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While attending UCSB, he served as the Chairman of the Associated Students Public Safety Commission and President of the Inter-Fraternity Council. Additionally, he worked as a Legal Assistant at a Santa Barbara law firm where he aided in legal research, as well as drafting and editing legal documents for estate planning, trust administration, probate, and nonprofit law.
