Emily K. Weddell joined Klinedinst in 2024 after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she obtained an International Law concentration and received CALI awards for her achievements in Contract Drafting and International Commercial Arbitration. Ms. Weddell was an integral member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team, competing in Vienna and later serving as President, where she coached fellow students in Hong Kong.
Before joining Klinedinst, Ms. Weddell gained valuable legal experience by working on a diverse range of cases, including international construction contracts and plaintiff’s employment and personal injury matters. She conducted extensive legal research, drafted various legal documents, and contributed to case strategy, developing a strong passion for litigation and trial work. Her previous roles allowed her to streamline over 300 claims in international construction law, preventing costly arbitrations and ensuring effective case management.
Prior to law school, Ms. Weddell graduated cum laude from Baylor University with a degree in Journalism and Public Relations, paired with a Business Concentration. She also worked as a business development consultant, where she developed over $2.9 million in new business opportunities. Ms. Weddell’s unique blend of legal expertise and business acumen positions her as a valuable asset to her clients and the firm.
In her free time, Ms. Weddell enjoys Pilates, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
