Litigation Paralegal

Nancy Marie Vanderhorst, CCLS is a Litigation Paralegal at the Sacramento office of Klinedinst. Ms. Vanderhorst has been with the firm since 2006, where she originally worked as a Legal Assistant.

In 2004, Ms. Vanderhorst received her Accounting Degree from Sierra College, graduating with honors. The following year, she received her Paralegal Certificate from California Paralegal College. In March 2010, Ms. Vanderhorst successfully passed the California certification exam for legal secretaries and became a California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS), joining a distinguished class of legal secretaries in the state.

Currently, Ms. Vanderhorst is an Adjunct Professor at MTI College in Sacramento, teaching civil litigation in the paralegal division of the college. In the community, she is an active member of the Sacramento Valley Paralegal Association and the Sacramento Legal Secretaries Association (SLSA). From 2010–2011, Ms. Vanderhorst served as Co-Chair of the SLSA Litigation Procedures Committee.

Although Ms. Vanderhorst was born and raised in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, she has lived in Northern California for the past 20 years. In her leisure time, Ms. Vanderhorst enjoys numerous outdoor activities, participating in civil war reenactments, assisting with community outreach programs, attending Giants baseball games, crochet, gardening, and of course spending time with her children and three adorable grandchildren.
