Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist – San Diego

Klinedinst PC is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, entrepreneurial, and focused Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist who is ready to join our growing and dynamic team in San Diego.

CORE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Collections of Accounts Receivable Aging, including calls and emails;
  • Research invoice aging via various billing websites and firm’s software program;
  • Participate in monthly AR meetings with Shareholders, CFO, Collections Supervisor, and other department managers;
  • Prepare reports of regular intervals (monthly, quarterly and annual) making forecasts on payment flow;
  • Set regular weekly and monthly deadlines to follow up on accounts;
  • Research and reconcile client accounts/payments to ensure accuracy and prompt resolution, if needed;
  • Identify and effectively summarize issues within Accounts Receivable;
  • Assist in formulating specific collection objectives and achievement of same;
  • Respond to attorney and staff inquiries related to receivables;
  • Keeps track of all payment transactions to be upheld by the company’s clients and maintain record of prior collection effort.

              Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with related special projects, as required;
  • Work closely with Billing Department to ensure successful invoice submission;
  • Maintain record of client contacts, with respect to their payment processing department;
  • Keep in touch with the industry’s best practices and keep updating; and
  • Ensure that all practices comply with the law.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections, or equivalent;
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks effectively and work with minimal supervision with individuals at all levels of the firm;
  • Windows platform knowledge to include advanced-level use of Excel and Word;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in analytical skills;
  • Problem solving;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of insurance litigation is a plus; and
  • Familiarity of Aderant a plus.
  • Pay range: $30-35 per hour (depends on experience)
