Klinedinst PC is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, entrepreneurial, and focused legal Conflicts Clerk who is ready to join our growing and dynamic team in San Diego.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct conflict of interest searches in the Aderant Conflicts Application to identify potential conflicts needing analysis.
- Following up on conflict issues with the Office of General Counsel, as well as other Firm personnel, as necessary.
- Perform data analysis, identify possible issues, and notify Firm personnel requesting conflict analysis as needed.
- Communicate and disseminate conflict of interest information in writing, with potential need for verbal communication and follow-up with lawyers and other Firm personnel.
- Conduct due diligence and ensure that all matter information is complete and up-to-date.
- Ensure all firm policies and procedures are accurately followed before any new clients are accepted and before any new matters are opened.
- Assist in data maintenance projects to ensure the accuracy of the Firm’s conflicts system.
- Perform data entry and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years’ experience related to general duties or skills described herein (e.g., general legal research, paralegal or law clerk experience) or one year of conflict analysis experience in a law firm. Law firm experience required.
- Professional demeanor is required.
- Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff and ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
- Must be able to prioritize, multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high-level work product, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must also exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.

- Merit-based compensation, with a starting annual pay range of $70,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience)
