Klinedinst is seeking an organized, hardworking, and upbeat individual to lead its marketing team in downtown San Diego. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar field. Ideal candidates would have at least 5+ years in a Senior Marketing Manager role, law firm experience preferred.

Essential responsibilities of this role include:

  • Cultivate, grow, lead, and effectively manage a marketing team that can provide full service to all attorneys interested in marketing firmware;
  • Partner with attorneys and Board of Directors to develop, present and execute strategic marketing plans for firm and by office;
  • Partner, coach and support key marketing shareholders to facilitate continued growth and diversification of key shareholder books;
  • Advise and support individual attorneys and teams to identify new business opportunities from clients and potential clients;
  • Advise lawyers on marketing and business development best practices; develop business development plans with attorneys firm-wide;
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, vendors and contractors to execute against marketing initiatives;
  • Develop and manage cross-selling/referral process and marketing plans for key marketing shareholders and attorneys;
  • Participate in annual planning and budgeting process for marketing and business development efforts; track ROI;
  • Revise, update and implement new system for approval and tracking of marketing expenses;
  • Draft and provide guidance on client proposals and presentations;
  • Proactively develop and maintain updated firm website, intranet, and microsites, as applicable;
  • Plan and coordinate events, seminars, webinars, continuing legal education workshops, and social receptions that support practice and firm goals;
  • Develop client-facing digital and print marketing communications, client email alerts, newsletters and appropriate digital communication/presence/social media/SEO;
  • Develop and lead proactive brand strategy, implementing across all marketing channels and platforms;
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for the firm’s business and legal markets including industry trends, ad spends, and competitive landscape;
  • Prepare firm and practice submissions for online directories, databases, and other publications;
  • Develop, compile and supervise marketing team to develop competitive intelligence and perform basic market research;
  • Develop and generate client leads for the firm; and
  • Partner with hiring team on Careers page and job postings to assure marketing/brand messaging and cohesion of external communications.

    • Merit-based compensation, with a starting annual salary range of $110,000-$155,000 (depends on experience).

    Pay ranges are provided in compliance with SB1162, California’s pay transparency law; actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including education, applicable experience, etc.
