Marketing and Communications Assistant – San Diego

Klinedinst’s marketing department is seeking an organized, responsive, hardworking, and energetic individual to join its growing downtown San Diego team. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field with a keen eye for design and digital media. Minimal years of experience within a professional services industry – legal, finance, medical, relevant agency work, etc. – is preferred. Candidates should have experience in various marketing mediums, including website design and maintenance (particularly WordPress and Adobe), SEO, and creative social media campaigns. Experience in account management, media relations, database and research, event planning, and promotions are all pluses for this position.

The Marketing and Communications Assistant is expected to be a proactive and engaging team member who is self-motivated in implementing the day-to-day operations of our marketing department.

Essential responsibilities of this role include:

  • Proactively maintaining and enhancing existing communication and database platforms to best serve the attorneys’ and management’s business development needs;
  • Maintaining and updating the firm’s website and intranet content using content management systems, particularly WordPress and Adobe. SEO experience is a plus;
  • Developing and managing frequent social media content, both for one-off events/programs as well as ongoing campaigns with targeted audiences. Tracking analytics is a plus;
  • Assist in promoting and executing the firm’s events and sponsorship opportunities to further develop business and community relationships;
  • Managing frequent admin-related requests for individual attorneys, including booking travel for client engagement, membership renewals, sponsorship evaluation and approvals, facilitating outward conference/Zoom calls, and related marketing requests via e-mail tickets and ensuring timely completion;
  • Proficient in all Microsoft functions – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.;
  • Bonus experience (but not limited to) – CRM implementation and management, video production/editing, AI platforms;
  • Participating in planning and executing the firm’s PR strategies and communications;
  • Actively maintaining internal client and contact database;
  • Working collaboratively to prepare responses to RFPs;

  • Merit-based compensation, with a starting hourly pay range of $23 – $30/hour (depending on experience).

Pay ranges are provided in compliance with SB1162, California’s pay transparency law; actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including education, applicable experience, etc.
