W. Jason Scott is Shareholder in the Sacramento office of Klinedinst PC. Mr. Scott works with the firm’s corporate clients, focusing primarily on business, professional liability, and general liability matters.
Mr. Scott has a very diverse practice, representing businesses and professionals in a wide array of liability, contract, and appellate matters. He has tremendous experience defending retailers and the hospitality industry in premises liability and general litigation matters, as well as contractors and utilities in all matters of counseling and liability. He has also represented physicians and medical facilities in medical malpractice actions, as well as brokers and real estate agents accused of professional negligence.
Mr. Scott also frequently counsels and represents clients in business and commercial disputes, representing lenders and financial institutions throughout California. Additionally, he has defended many cases involving land use and environmental issues, including the contamination of soil and ground water and compliance with state and federal environmental laws, including CEQA, underground storage tanks, and air quality control regulations.
Previously, Mr. Scott served four years in the United States Navy as a deep sea diver. He was active in multiple military campaigns around the world, and was recognized for his service with several medals, awards, and honors. Upon completion of his tour, he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from California State University in Sacramento, focusing on Business Management and Finance. He then went on to receive his J.D. from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
