With more than two decades of experience in business and real estate litigation, Nicole Pelcic represents clients in complex disputes across California and Arizona, with special expertise in the representation of institutional and private mortgage lenders. Her practice focuses on delivering strategic, efficient solutions that protect her clients’ interests while adding tangible value to their businesses.
Nicole views her role as more than legal counsel—she’s a business partner to her clients. Whether navigating foreclosure actions, loan servicing disputes, regulatory compliance matters, or intricate real estate transactions, she approaches each case with an unwavering commitment to understanding her clients’ broader business objectives and delivering results that advance their goals.
Her background includes serving as in-house counsel for a construction company, where she created and implemented a comprehensive Department of Transportation compliance program. This experience gave her invaluable insight into the operational challenges businesses face and reinforced her commitment to providing practical, business-minded legal counsel.
Education & Background
Nicole earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco before attending UC Hastings College of the Law, where she honed her litigation skills as a member of the Trial Competition Team. She is licensed to practice in both California and Arizona, allowing her to serve clients seamlessly across both jurisdictions. She also speaks conversational Spanish.
Her connection to both states runs deep. She grew up in Silicon Valley but spent much of her childhood in Arizona, where her family has long-standing roots. She considers herself a native of both California and Arizona, and this dual perspective enhances her ability to navigate the distinct legal landscapes of each state.
Community Commitment
Nicole has a deep commitment to serving her community. She served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for two young boys in the foster care system and volunteered to teach English to Spanish-speaking immigrants preparing to take their citizenship exam. Recognizing the importance of youth health and education, she organized and implemented anti-smoking campaigns at her previous firm and her son’s middle school, volunteered for a non-profit organization supporting public education in Arizona through political action, volunteered for a community organization focused on preventing adolescent drug and alcohol use, and coached the Mock Trial Team at her neighboring public high school.
During law school, Nicole’s commitment to public service was equally strong. She represented indigent individuals in their applications for disability benefits, served on the Board of La Raza Centro Legal, and served as Academic Chair for the UC Hastings La Raza Law Students Association.
Approach to Practice
Nicole is passionate about efficiency and continuous improvement. She’s always seeking new and better ways to streamline processes and deliver exceptional value to her clients. Her personal motto reflects this commitment: “There is not a problem in the world which cannot be solved with a chart.” This philosophy drives her analytical, organized approach to even the most complex legal challenges.
Whether representing an institutional lender navigating regulatory requirements or a private lender managing portfolio risk, Nicole brings the experience, strategic thinking, and business acumen necessary to protect her clients’ interests and advance their success.
