Theresa Mains is counsel in Klinedinst PC’s Nevada office, with a practice focusing on civil and business litigation. With a robust educational background, including a Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law and a Master’s Degree in Accounting with a focus on Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University, Ms. Mains brings a unique blend of legal and financial acumen to her practice.
Since founding her law practice in 2015, Ms. Mains has successfully handled a diverse range of legal matters, including motion practice, discovery, trial advocacy, and post-trial proceedings. Her extensive courtroom experience includes civil trials, arbitrations, and appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Notably, she has represented clients in complex business acquisitions, securities fraud litigation, and cases involving financial crimes against the elderly.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Mains is the owner of the Theresa Mains Advisory, where she offers forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. Her work focuses on financial advisory matters, including fraud investigations, damages analysis, and compliance issues, making her a valuable asset in high-stakes litigation.
Prior to establishing her legal career, Ms. Mains served as a Senior Forensic Accountant at Rachlin, LLC, where she specialized in tracing financial activities related to fraud and working hands on with businesses in criminal and civil receiverships. Her notable achievements include successfully identifying and recovering substantial undisclosed assets under RICO and facilitating the liquidation of multi-million dollar businesses.
Ms. Mains is also dedicated to education, having served as an adjunct professor in Fraud Examination at Florida Atlantic University. Her commitment to her community and profession is evident through her involvement in various legal and advisory roles, where she consistently advocates for her clients’ interests and strives for justice.
