Klinedinst PC adds seasoned Seattle litigator Mary DePaolo Haddad as Shareholder, strengthening its complex litigation, class action, and employment law defense team.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – Klinedinst PC is pleased to announce that accomplished attorney Mary DePaolo Haddad has joined the firm’s Seattle office as Shareholder. 

Ms. DePaolo Haddad brings more than two decades of experience representing employers, professionals, and businesses in complex litigation. Her practice spans class action defense involving wage and hour disputes and discrimination claims, legal malpractice defense, and employment law matters such as wrongful termination, retaliation, and harassment. Over the course of her career, she has represented corporations, small businesses, and individual professionals, consistently delivering favorable results through strategic litigation, skillful negotiation, and proactive risk management. 

Before joining Klinedinst, Ms. DePaolo Haddad built a distinguished record managing litigation from initial claim assessment through trial and resolution. She has successfully secured dismissals of multi-million-dollar claims and is widely recognized for providing practical, cost-effective defense strategies tailored to protect each client’s business interests, professional reputation, and financial security. 

A graduate of Seattle University School of Law, Ms. DePaolo Haddad remains an active leader in the legal community. She is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), a past Co-Chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) Northwest Chapter, and a former board member of MAMA Seattle. During her tenure with MAMA Seattle, she played a key role in launching the Ladder Down program, which provides mentorship and professional development opportunities for women in the legal profession.

CORE ESSENTIAL TRAITS IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE

  • Handle all aspects of billing using the Juris legal accounting program
  • Generate and distribute monthly diaries
  • Review, distribute, edit and finalize pre-bills
  • Invoice clients via email & submission in various electronic billing platforms.
  • Update and ensure billing compliance with client/carriers litigation and billing guidelines.
  • Respond to billing related emails from clients, staff and attorneys

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ or more years hands-on billing experience in a law firm environment including familiarity with electronic billing
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the billing functions, particularly for insurance defense matters
  • Use time efficiently and perform professionally at a high level under billing cycle deadlines
  • Able to successfully prioritize workload and effectively adapt to change
  • Detail-oriented with a customer service approach and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Effectively communicate with team members and clients
