Christopher M. Leland is an Attorney at Klinedinst’s Irvine office. Mr. Leland joined the firm as a Law Clerk in 2024 after graduating from Chapman Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor.
During law school, he served as Vice President of the Moot Court Competition Board, where he earned recognition including 2nd Best Appellate Brief at the 2023 Tulane Mardi Gras Invitational. Mr. Leland also served as Vice President of Sports for the Entertainment & Sports Law Society and Co-Director of the Entertainment & Sports Law Symposium. Additionally, he worked as an Academic Fellow for Legal Analysis Writing and Research.
Before joining Klinedinst, Mr. Leland gained diverse legal experience through several positions. He worked as a legal intern at Key Code Media, where he drafted and reviewed business contracts and researched intellectual property matters. He also served as a legal extern for ocV!BE Sports + Entertainment, supporting in-house counsel for the Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center, and San Diego Gulls. Through Chapman’s Entertainment Law Clinic, he provided legal counsel to independent filmmakers and handled entity formation matters. Mr. Leland also interned at Beta Bionics, where he analyzed corporate documents and drafted various agreements including partnership, employment, and licensing contracts.
Prior to law school, Mr. Leland graduated magna cum laude from California Baptist University with a degree in Business Management. In his free time, he is an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed the 2023 LA Marathon and Ironman 70.3 Arizona, and enjoys rooting for the Red Sox.
