Amy J. Mullen is an associate in the San Diego office of Klinedinst PC, where her practice focuses on a wide range of civil defense litigation. Her experience includes representing clients in matters involving property disputes, civil rights complaints, general liability, construction defects, employment issues, and representing public entities.
Prior to joining Klinedinst, Ms. Mullen was an associate at Haight Brown & Bonesteel, and previously served as in-house counsel at Progressive Insurance, where she managed an active caseload of more than 50 cases and represented civil defendants through all phases of litigation including pleadings, investigation, written discovery, depositions, diapositive motions, expert discovery, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation.. Her earlier experience includes roles as an eDiscovery attorney and a Law Clerk for both Progressive Insurance and the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office, where she contributed to various litigation projects and case preparations.
Amy’s legal career is underpinned by a solid foundation in investigations, having initially worked as a claims adjuster and later as a fraud investigator for Progressive Insurance. In these roles, she developed vast knowledge in negotiating claims and conducting thorough investigations into suspected insurance fraud.
Amy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in May 2021, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Diego State University.
