SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – Klinedinst PC is very pleased to announce the promotion of Sidra Zaheer, L.L.M. to Senior Counsel and Chair of the firm’s eDiscovery Practice.
In her role, Ms. Zaheer advises clients and members of the firm on eDiscovery best practices and strategy at all stages of litigation, from instituting a legal hold to opposing motions to compel.
Ms. Zaheer received her LL.B Degree (JD-equivalent) with honors from the University of London. She then went on to earn her LL.M degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She is a certified privacy professional (CIPP/US) and has a thorough knowledge of state and federal privacy laws, as well as related compliance considerations. She is admitted to practice in both California and New York, and has handled electronic discovery issues in SEC, DOJ, FTC, and FDA investigations. She regularly is called upon to oversee extremely complex and document-intensive cases, sometimes involving one million documents or more.
Prior to joining Klinedinst, her practice included developing effective eDiscovery strategies, ensuring a defensible collections, negotiating ESI protocols, preparing Rule 26(f) discovery plans, creating workflows to streamline the review of documents, and helping resolve disputes regarding privilege issues, motions to compel, and other related issue. She also regularly supervised large teams of contract attorneys retained to review documents. Those teams would vary in size from 10 to 70 contract attorneys.
