Klinedinst Shareholder and Deputy General Counsel David M. Majchrzak has officially been selected as the President of the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) in 2022. Established in 1899, the SDCBA has nearly 9,000 members and serves the public and the legal profession by promoting justice, inclusivity, professional excellence, and respect for the law.
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – Klinedinst is pleased to announce that Shareholder David M. Majchrzak has been selected as the 2022 President of the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA). He was officially sworn in as President-elect at the SDCBA’s Stepping Up to the Bar event on December 11, 2020.
With nearly 9,000 members, SDCBA is the county’s oldest and largest law‐related organization and serves as the hub of the region’s legal community. The 121 year-old organization’s mission is to connect lawyers and support their success and fulfillment. The SDCBA has been leading the charge in helping the legal community pivot in the COVID-19 era.
“This is an incredible accomplishment for Dave, who is a strong and thoughtful leader, as well as a talented professional ethicist,” said Heather L. Mr. Majchrzak currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer of the SDCBA, following a year as its Secretary, and was chosen by the current Board of Directors to lead the organization. He also serves as the Immediate Past Chair and Executive Committee member of SDCBA’s prestigious Legal Ethics Committee, and is the Co-Chair of the inaugural California Lawyers Association Ethics Committee. Additionally, Mr. Majchrzak has been the co-editor and co-author of the SDCBA’s publication, Ethics Quarterly since 2015.
Mr. Majchrzak will begin his term as President on January 1, 2022, and serve a one-year term. Beginning in 2021, he will serve on the board for an additional three years as President-elect, President, and Immediate Past President. During that time, he will be one of two Klinedinst shareholders serving on the board concurrently, a first in the firm’s history.
