Sacramento Skyline — Super Lawyers® has recognized three Klinedinst attorneys in their 2018 Northern California issue. The annual publication features both Super Lawyers and up-and-coming Rising Stars practicing in Northern California.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA – Klinedinst is pleased to announce that Sacramento attorneys Natalie Vance has been selected to the 2018 list of Northern California Super Lawyers®. Klinedinst attorney Lindsey Casillas has been named a Rising Star.

Super Lawyers is an annual publication that recognizes outstanding attorneys who have attained the highest degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. According to Super Lawyers, fewer than 5% of attorneys in California are ever featured in the magazine.

Each year, lawyers in good standing are asked to nominate fellow attorneys who demonstrate excellence in the legal profession. Attorneys nominated then go through a rigorous evaluation and research phase, and are vetted by an attorney-led review committee before being announced.

Ms. Vance has been recognized in the publication for multiple years in the practice of Professional Liability: Defense. Ms. Vance has been featured in the publication for ten straight years.

The Rising Star distinction is awarded annually by Super Lawyers to on-the-rise attorneys that have either been practicing for fewer than ten years, or are under 40 years old. A research team then reviews and evaluates nominees, eventually awarding the “Rising Star” designation to fewer than 2.5% of eligible licensed attorneys.

Ms. Casillas has been named a Rising Star in the area of Professional Liability: Defense. This marks the first year Ms. Casillas has been honored.

SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA – Klinedinst is pleased to announce Shareholder Bonnie L. Lutz has been appointed as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort & Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s (TIPS) Animal Law Committee. Ms. Lutz will serve a one-year term for the 2018-19 fiscal year.

The Animal Law Committee (ALC) assembles leading Animal Law attorneys across the nation, with the shared goal of protecting and improving the lives of animals through legal strategy. ALC addresses all issues concerning animals and the law, and provides opportunities for its members to share experiences and viewpoints on issues that impact animals and our relationship with them.

Each year, an individual is selected as Vice-Chair who has proven leadership in the practice area of animal law, and who has been consistently involved in the committee’s events and in TIPS.

Ms. Lutz has been a committee member since its inception in 2004. She previously served as Chair of ALC in 2015, and Vice-Chair in 2017.

Superior Court of Los Angeles. Navy Bay Bridge Run — Klinedinst announces it will serve as an official sponsor of the Navy’s 32nd Annual Bay Bridge Run/Walk. The event supports the Navy’s Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs, which assist in improving the quality of life for active duty and retired military and their family members.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – Klinedinst has officially announced its participation as a sponsor in the Navy’s 32nd Annual Bay Bridge Run/Walk on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The annual event benefits the Navy’s Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs, which provides assistance to over 500,000 active and retired military and their families.

The Bay Bridge Run/Walk draws over 10,000 people to enjoy the course, panoramic views, and post-run celebration. The course is a unique 4-mile run/walk, which begins near the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal in downtown San Diego, continued over the iconic Coronado Bay Bridge, and finishes at Coronado’s Tidelands Park.

“Klinedinst is proud to support our local military by sponsoring this incredible event,” said Arthur S. Moreau III, Chief Operating Officer and a former naval aviator. “North Island’s MWR always does a fantastic job making the iconic bridge into an active pedestrian course, and we are all excited to participate again and have a large presence from our Klinedinst Corps.”
